Day 2 - 5.96 miles (58.10mins) @ 9.45/mile

A visit to my Uncles for a running rematch - the first inaugural event being held in August in Oxford. A lovely run through woods and gentle slopes, with one steep hill, and a steady flow of chat, banter and coughing from my poor uncle who has had a bad chest for a month. Anyway we did it, and in the best tradition of the event I, the visitor, was allowed to maintain my lead as soon as I worked out where the hell the end was, and I was presented with a wonderful chocolate Thorntons plaque which had been duly engraved 'winner Harewood Harriers!' Fantastic!

No aching yet, although my right Achilles is tending to be a bit stiff afterwards. I'm determined not to wimp out and will just persevere with extra stretching. Still very cold, although fine whilst running it seems.
