Oh my! Can you spot the difference yet? Started the day at 4am, off to Gatwick, 4 hour flight, arrived early into glorious sunshine (it is still January, isn't it?) Got sorted out in an apartment with a lovely view and then went out with the 'green team' run at 5.10pm (no time difference). Pace was to be 5 mins per km for 8km - hoilly run. It wasn't until we'd strated off down the road that I realised I hadnø't actually run at that pace for some time, or that distance.
The body beautifuls left me at around 3 miles, but not so far ahead that I didn't know where I was going. / of us in all - flattish 1st mile, then up for 2 miles then aolong and down for the rest. Knackered by the end of it but I did my 8km in 39.55!! A small amount of pride involved, not just for keeping to the set pace but for doing the longest fastest run for ages! Its so warm relatively, but not uncomfortably hot. Doesn't get dark til 7pm, and gets light around 7.30am. It is SO easy to run here. I love it. I remember where most things are, go tsettled in right away.
Went to duathlon week welcome this evening and have programme for the week, as well as lots of freebies. Nice organiser - Welsh trathlete called Phil who's 60 this year. Need some sleep now
